This is Fantastic

I can’t believe i’m the first review! I’m a huge fan of planet money and have been listening to this American Life since I was a kid, this show is cut from the same stuff, fun, informative and interesting! I just listed to the first 2 episodes and can’t wait for the next one. (also I think the business Idea is amazing, I am someone who used to listen to radio and now only listens to podcasts and I’m always running out of good content. I’ve tried dozens and still only have a 5 or 6 key shows I listen to regularly.)

A This American Life-y, meta-y, Story About Breaking Out to Break In

A podcast mini-series about starting a podcast business.

This will either make you want to stop everything you are currently doing and have (job security, namely) to start something new (a potentially ground-breaking business, for instance)…or make you never want to change anything in your life ever.

Less obtusely, a really close--and at times cringe-inducing--personal account of what it's like to start a company, what's it like to shake-up your family (of four, no less), what it's like to try and get a guy who invested in TWITTER to invest in your idea. And all told in that folksy, sweet, soul-swelling, This American Life way.

First episode hooked me

Long-time fan of Alex’s work on This American Life and Planet Money. It’s exciting to follow along as he steps out and creates his own company. This is a refreshing startup story. This isn't about some band of ambitious college drop-outs; rather, this is a grown man leaving a full-time job to create something out of nothing. It's risky, and Alex is honest about the struggles and anxiety involved. First episode hooked me. I'm psyched to see where this goes.
