Description

An episode-by-episode analysis and critique of the television show Queer as Folk. The show started airing in December 2000, and we discuss how gay life has changed, or stayed the same 15 years later. At the end of each episode we ask the question of whether the episode's content still holds up today.

Still, listening

My obsession with Queer as Folk can now continue 17 years later thanks to Patrick and Matthew. Their critique of each episode is funny, in-depth and eye opening. Now that I am all caught up I am looking forward to each week with a new episode. Love love love! Keep it up guys! Highly recommended this podcast :) made with love I'm Chicago.

QAF's perfect modern companion

This podcast was not what I was expecting. I saw it randomly mentioned online and thought, 'Oh, great, here we go again. A group of probably humorless people are tearing apart another show I loved that might not have aged as well as others." But I find all criticism of the show from the hosts to be fair and not preachy. They give a fresh and often funny take on the show. And their analysis is coupled with excellent, thorough recaps so you don't have to rewatch ever episode to listen to the podcast. If you love QAF, even if you're not big on podcasts, you should give this show a try. I'll definitely be recommending it whenever I recommend QAF to someone who hasn't watched the show yet.

Love rewatching alongside Patrick and Matt!

I look forward to every new episode of this podcast. It’s fun to rewatch and break down the episodes every week. Patrick and Matt are funny and smart, and keep the conversation interesting. I hope this keeps going all the way to 513!
