Josh and Joe analyze story-driven games, from walking simulators to RPGs to episodic games. Each episode covers a single game and includes discussions on plot, characters, and those gut-wrenching choices you’re often forced to make.
Each season of the show covers a handful of shorter games and at least one lengthier game. You’re invited to play along with them, assuming you’ve either played the game or don’t mind having it spoiled.

The second episode of Life is Strange 2 is called Rules and it kept Josh and Joe constantly second-guessing their own rule-making choices.
If you haven't played through The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit yet you probably should. It is free and only takes about an hour to play. Your actions in that game will have an impact in this episode of Life is Strange, and we recorded a spoilercast for you to check out.

Story Players #031 – The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 3
Broken Toys, the third episode in the final season of The Walking Dead game and first to be released since Skybound purchased the rights to it, is available and brings us within one episode of the conclusion of the entire series.
After the massive showdown that ended episode 2, Clementine, AJ, and the others are in search of their missing friends and the raiders who took them. Will they find them alive, and will we get any more answers to what happened at the ranch?

Story Players #030 – Life is Strange 2 – Episode 1
The first Life is Strange is the game most responsible for the creation of Story Players. It had Josh and Joe mulling over the difficult decisions and sharing how they made them as soon as they finished playing each episode. It easily became one of Josh's all-time favorite games. When a prequel was released, Before the Storm, we made it the very first game to cover for this podcast. Don't Nod has released a new season, simply called Life is Strange 2, and the guys are back to give a full spoilercast.
Life is Strange 2 is not a direct sequel to the first game. It follows the journey of two brothers after a traumatic experience that feels like it came right out of the newspapers. It is still in the same universe as the other games though, including The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. That game is free and only takes about an hour to play. We also recorded a spoilercast for you to check out.

Story Players #029 – The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 2
The final season of Telltale's The Walking Dead seemed as though it may not see the conclusion it deserves, because days before episode two was released Telltale announced that the studio was closing. Despite the heart-breaking news, the second episode was released on time. It was also announced a couple weeks later that the season would be completed. While keeping track of the news Josh and Joe played through the second episode, not knowing whether it would be the last.
The second episode, titled Suffer the Children, sees Clementine and AJ at odds with the other kids at the school. While tensions are tight, there is a big threat to deal with.

Story Players #028 – The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 1
The first season of The Walking Dead video games offered one of the first truly gripping narratives in the media. It was one of the games that helped inspire the creation of Story Players! Now, Telltale has released the first installment of the final season in the series.
The Story Players will be playing all four episodes as they are released. They have completed the introduction, and in this first episode they break down the new and returning characters, new games mechanics, and of course, make a few predictions along the way.

Story Players #027 – The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit
It's no surprise that the Story Players love the games in the Life is Strange series, so when Don't Nod and Square Enix announced The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit at E3 they knew they would play it right away.
Captain Spirit is something of a demo for the forthcoming sequel to Life is Strange. It takes place in the same universe but apparently offers a completely stand-alone story. It was released for free on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, so there's no reason not to check it out. It's also quite short, at about 90 minutes in length. There were many things Josh and Joe liked about it, including the new engine for the game. It simply looks beautiful! There are also new control mechanics to explore, but the game retains many of the trappings of the previous installments that the guys fell in love with.

Great start
Just found these guys after finishing Before the Storm. Really like the format and informed discussion between the hosts. These guys realize the best way to get new people to keep listening to a new show is to JUST GET INTO THE SUBJECT. A lot of other game-story-based podcasts seem to not know how to start, and include 5-10 minutes of forced banter between the hosts before picking up steam. Looking forward to new shows and I have no reservations recommending.
