In the mid 1980's thousands of young boys and girls were forced to flee the ravages of the second civil war in southern Sudan. These children walked up to 10,000 miles, scared and starving, searching for food and shelter. Many died. Those who survived ended up in refugee camps in either Ethiopia and Kenya. Years later, some of these boys were granted refuge in America. Through the eyes of two young boy, this musical tell their story and focuses on the challenges of Integration. The Lost Boys of Sudan are some of the most badly war traumatized human beings alive. However, many of them have risen above unimaginable hardship to become something better than anyone could have ever imagined.
