The only film podcast I listen to
Listening to passionate people talk about their personal histories with film. An important survey of film culture circa 2016.
Very very good conversations
So maybe the sound quality isn't always perfect. But this is a podcast I can happily support due to its content. It's more like a conversation for the curious rather than a traditional interview podcast, which is its strength. At times it does come across as a lovefest about movies which there are a lot of shows that also do the same thing, yet this stands out because every question and answer sound completely sincere. I am a big fan of the Mike White episode so start there and get hooked.
One of the best new shows out there!
Can't say enough good things about Bill and this show. If you're a fan of modern film culture, and want to hear consistently compelling stories from all kinds of enthusiasts, scholars, podcasters, programmers, and several behind-the-scenes talent -- this must be the place! A+ content all-around.
