Best Mix of Dark Humor, Social Justice and Culture on iTunes. Period.

I've been an Angelino for over ten years now and this is the ONLY podcast that I've listened to that actually captures the insanity of life in Los Angeles. The hosts Valley Girl and Shanon are side-splittingly funny and gifted storytellers, who have their fingers on the pulse of everything bizarre . . . and surreal.

Since I'm the first reviewer, I just want to convince you to subscribe and listen, if you haven't already.

I don't know how they do it, but these two dames have a hell-a-ton of crazy stories about Los Angeles -- from topless cultists to tranny hookers to Beverly Hills weirdos. But they touch on serious social issues that plague the city, like homelessness.

I often imagine that Valley Girl and Shanon must be the snarkiest, hottest chicks on the internet, They couldn't have more divergent points of view. And their bantering is turning me on!

Valley Girl is always playing it straight to Shanon's subversive humor and twisted world view. Shanon is always trying to drag Valley Girl down the surreal rabbit hole of L.A. What results is an orgasm in my ears.

Hells Yeah.

Great Podcast for Angelinos!

As a Los Angeles resident, I have to say these ladies are pretty spot-on in their assessment of the city - good, bad and ugly. Bonus: they're really fun to listen to! Keep it up!!!!

Wonderful Podcast! Thoughts on the Occupation podcast...

Really interesting show, gals, thank you! I agree with you both that now is the time to do something and to voice our discontent at the growing wealth gap. Having visited and slept out at the Occupy Wall Street, I have to say that I do think that “just camping out” is a really wonderful and powerful phenomena. Just the overnight presence of hundreds of people each and every night and the dedication that shows has sparked the imaginations of millions of people around the world and begun a discussion on what we can do. They have created a living free space for ideas and lively discussions to begin to marinate through the voices of an extremely diverse and thoughtful group of people from all over! It starts with the human mic, where anyone can declare a “mic check” and spreads out from there to dinner table banter and news reports! I’m extremely thrilled and glad to hear from your side of the U.S., what’s going on in L.A. The Utopians are just a hand full in the Occupy United, but there are union members, teachers, lawyers, librarians, scientists, landscape architects, moms, children, dogs and all kinds there! Keep up the wonderful work you two! Looking forward to next week!
