Description

In "Tabling" we designate a Core Four group of actors, performers and other theatrically minded individuals, one of whom acts as the 'director' for the entirety of the play. Each play will consist of an Introduction episode, and we then continue with one episode per act.

Behind the scenes

Whether you are an aspiring actor, a lover of live theatre or just enjoy those ‘bonus features’ of movie disk, you will be fully engaged by this energized ensemble of recent LAMDA graduates as they let you behind the scenes and listen in on the process of developing a Shakespearian production. After just the first instalment I was hooked and was yearning to hear more from this lively cast. Recommend ...

Insightful & entertaining

As this podcast approaches a year of installments, I can honestly say I eagerly await each new session. The cast has varied, but are invariably articulate. All are well-versed in the language of the text and of the world of theatrical production, and provide lively and energetic dissection of the characters, contexts and plot points of not only Shakespearean plays, but of a range of classical and modern scripts, and they do so with just the right dose of irreverence and humour. This is a great opportunity for both those listeners who feel somewhat adrift in the world of Shakespearean (or other classical) story-telling and are looking for a way in, or for those who love the format already, and want a peek into the minds of highly-trained classical artists for whom this is their passion. Get to know the names and voices of these young actors now, as they will certainly start becoming the recognized stars of the near future! (…and check the Tabling website for “Cold reads” available for some of the lesser known plays)
