Really great podcast
Lex does a great job with this podcast. He has a great understanding of the major grappling arts (jiu jitsu, Judo and wrestling). This is probably the most eclectic grappling podcast available. If you're openminded and looking to expand your knowledge past one single grappling style then this show is for you.
Great podcast for BJJ enthusiasts
Lex goes in depth with each guest to provide the listener with a past, present and future look at their accomplishments, obstacles, goals and anything else that comes out in the process. BJJ, Judo, Wrestling and more...Jordan Burroughs soon Lex?
After months of listening to stuff like InsideBJJ, BJJLifestyle, OpenMatRadio & JRE, I searched to see if my instructors were on podcasts and found this treasure. Not only is it a well spoken, informative and insightful podcast, it’s from the school I train at; Balance in Philadelphia.
As if I already didn’t have a ton of respect for my instructors. Now it’s even more rewarding to hear what they have to say. I’ve learned that BJJ has so much to do with what life off the mat and listening to their life stories and philosophies is extremely inspiring.
Lex’s passion for BJJ, Judo and Wrestling clearly shows and I totally appreciate little glimpses of his Russian humor.
Sure this is somewhat biased but as a white belt, I listen to tons of these as I’m new to exploring the art and found this one to be legit and informative. What I’ve learned from having different instructors every class is that each one has different perspectives due their own unique life experiences, body type and philosophy so listening to different podcasts from around the world keeps you fresh. It’s an endless art so it’s good to hear what different people have to say which keeps it fresh.
My only complaint is now my reading list has expanded due to all the constant solid recommendations.
