Customer Reviews

Just was thinking about your podcast and I have been meaning to tell you how much I enjoy tuning in. I have been feeling a bit isolated in my studio practice lately and listening to the conversations you have with other makers really helps me feel connected. I know that it must be a lot of work to put each episode together and so I just want you to know that there are peeps like me out there that are so appreciative of the work you do. so... THANKS.

Best arts podcast I've found

Tales of a Red Clay Rambler is not just for ceramics enthusiasts (although it is certainly for them,) but it is for anyone who enjoys a good discussion of art. The making of art, the ideas that feed into it, the role of art in life - all discussed here, thoughtfully and often with humor too. Ben has well-honed interviewing skills, and the interviews, not to mention sound production, are all professional quality.

If you're a first time listener, I recommend episode 14, with Swedish artist Christin Johansson. It's not for the prudish or small-minded, but all others will thoroughly enjoy it.

Excellent podcast!

Ben's podcast is a treat to listen to. As an artist myself, I love hearing the personal stories each artist he interviews reveals. Ben presents a wide variety of artists in a very clear and articulate manner. It's as if I'm sitting in the room with those artists myself learning of the inspirations, motivations and concepts behind each artists' work. There is always something touching to take away from these. The choices of music Ben uses for the breaks are great, too! I'm always eager for more of his podcasts and have to spread them out so I can 'save' them and not use them all up at once! I love to listen to these in my own studio, enjoying the focused space that listening to stories while working brings me. Everyone should listen to this podcast if they are interested in the arts, culture, travel and the personal stories of people pursuing their creative passions.
