Great show!

If this is a show that slams idiot conservatives because they come from another planet and not reality then I’m all in!

Stop with the personal/political commentary

First of all, I want to say that I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. It is very informative in regard to the history of a joke, an episode, the depth of the animation, and the process behind The Simpsons overall.

However, I absolutely cannot stand two grown men obsessing over why they find something offensive about a show—which is famously politically incorrect and irreverent—dishing out jokes that are not politically correct or insensitive. No one cares how offended YOU are or why YOU think a joke or situation is insensitive. Just keep the commentary to the episode.

Also, I am by no means a Trump-supporting, conservative nut job, but I am so sick of political commentary routinely forced into the conversation—from either side of the aisle. I don’t listen to your podcast to hear why you hate Donald Trump (join the club on that one) or to hear about your political views in general. It’s easy and lazy to discuss your hatred of Donald Trump, but I don’t think this is the forum in which to discuss it.

I’m sure you won’t, but I implore you to at least consider limiting your personal/political commentary. The Simpsons are (or were) such a novelty because of their politically-incorrect, “insensitive”, and satirical bite, so that’s something that anyone who loves (or loved) this show should embrace instead of placing it under an overly-sensitive 2018 microscope. Everyday, we are immersed in an over-saturated market of political commentary or the over sensitivity of our current culture...let people have something that escapes that, and just let people enjoy a discussion about a show that they love.

Just my two cents.
