TEXTURE is a podcast about kindness. About peace. About brutal honesty in the face of empty facades, always from a pure heart desiring to expose truth in the human experience. It's an ever-shifting exploration of many facets of life, including faith, existence, contemplation, meditation, anxiety, depression, spirituality, growth and change. It's about combating negativity, toxicity, violence and hate. It's about bettering ourselves to serve others well. It's about watching delusions fall away to find reality on the other side. Long pauses, anecdotal stories and humor from your host, Josh Gaines. It's TEXTURE.

Relatable and inspirational
Josh is great at motivating his listeners to see their situations from multiple perspectives. Whether actively creating or in a more stagnant place, I highly recommend this to anyone that has any type of creative drive.
Titles Are Dumb
Texture has done nothing but cement Josh as one of the most thoughtful people I know. I'm excited for where its headed, but I have a feeling it's going to reveal things about the world and myself that I won't be thrilled to learn. And maybe that's exactly what I need. Here goes.
Conversational & Caring & Cringy in the Best Ways
I’ve always admired Josh’s ability to speak openly about where he is at in life, and I know that I look forward to our conversations about it. I’ve found his to be a voice that is relatable and caring, and I think that time extends well to the rest of his listening audience here on Texture, too. I enjoy his ability to think uniquely, and perhaps especially the way literature plays such a significant role in his thought process, as well (you’ve gotta know you’re in for something good when he’s diving straight into Rohr and David Foster Wallace from the get-go. As for the “cringe” I included in my title, I think Josh says it best himself: he’s willing to explore uncomfortable territory, and I think it’s for the best. I appreciate his unwillingness to shy away from the hard parts of life. You get the real deal here, folks - jam it.
