Ascension

My teacher said to me I'm a failure, that I'll never amount to anything. I scoffed at him. Shocked, my teacher asked what's so funny, my future is on the line. "Well...you see professor" I say as the teacher prepares to laugh at my answer, rebuttal at hand. "I listen to the 1609 podcast." The class is shocked, they merely listen to pleb shows like RadioLab to feign intelligence, not grasping the humor. "...how? I can't even understand it's sheer nuance and subtlety." "Well you see...1609 is the number of meters in a mile!" One line student laughs in the back, I turn to see a who this fellow genius is. It's none other than Steve Prefontaine.

Just right.

I really enjoy this podcast because they do a great job balancing a deep dive into running specifics as well as explaining a lot of running related topics so that anyone would be able to understand them. I am in ultra runner, so I don't know very much at all about track, but when they explain it it is easy to understand and easy to get engaged excited about the topic, even when I go into the episode not knowing anything about the guests. Keep them coming!

2 thumbs up!

Pro running news and great community interviews. Perfect for those weekly drives with no radio signal!
