We Love Monte Markham! Interview and TVM discussion

I'm so happy to FINALLY have this interview with Monte Markham online. I spoke to Monte (at length) about most of his incredible TV movie work, as well as some other sundries, and then Dan and I came in to talk about Markham's films Visions (aka Visions of Death, 1972) and the classic tele-horror pic Hotline (1982). A big shout out to Monte for his time and kindness and we hope you enjoy listening!

    Charles Bronson Extravaganza!

    Charles Bronson Extravaganza!

The Made for TV Mayhem Show has returned to celebrate what would have been Charles Bronson’s 100th birthday! To help us ring in this – the holiest of holy days – we invited James Newton of Newton Talks to discuss three of Bronson’s lesser talked about small screen appearances: the pilot for Man with a Camera (1958), One Step Beyond‘s eerie entry The Last Round (1961) and the 1993 cop thriller TV movie Donato and Daughter! We had a lot of fun, although there were technical woes aplenty, so please be patient with any sound issues or choppy edits. We had to record in “chapters” because of several dropouts. But we gave all of our love to Bronson, and we hope you enjoy it!

For anyone who loves TV

I never considered myself a fan of TV movies, but after hearing Amanda guest on another podcast and being absolutely blown away by her encyclopedic knowledge of all things TV, I had to check out this podcast. And I’m so glad I did! I’ve always loved TV, though I’ve gravitated toward episodic shows. But listening to Amanda and the guys go over all the great, and gloriously not so great, TV movies from the past 40-odd years makes me realize how much of them I had absorbed, and how incredibly delightful they can be, especially when seeing through Amanda’s unique and intelligent lens. Kudos to all three of you for a delightful, and gosh darn it educational, listening experience!!!!

Low effort

This is a low effort podcast in which the hosts do no research to speak of and seem solipsistic in their taste. No context or sense of history. Not even a sense of humor.

Love This Pod cast

I am a huge fan of old made for TV movies. My husband and I watch them frequently on YouTube. I was so excited to find this podcast. And it didn’t disappoint. Although I blame it for my not being able to get much done. I found myself sitting down and just listening. I adore it
