Mostly great so far

Update to my original review (below) made 3/16/19: I am so grateful that Megan gracefully and thoughtfully took the feedback I provided about an off-putting episode. Her lack of defensiveness was refreshing and made me feel reconnected to the podcast. Thank you, Megan!

Original review
I am a clinical psychologist who has studied attachment and I was excited to find this podcast. Up until episode 7 (with guest Chantal Quick), I was overall impressed with the caliber, education, and expertise of the guests hosted each episode. Then I listened to episode 7. I was so disappointed that, in this case, "a brand and a blog" constituted reasoning for bringing this Chantal Quick on to speak as an "expert" on the topics that, in past episodes, actual experts leant their voices to. Not only did I find Chantal to be speaking primarily from a place of personally biased opinion versus facts, I (and the moms I avidly recommended this podcast to!) found her to be shaming of women from Hilary Clinton to moms who choose to work outside of the home. This is not the spirit of feminism that I ascribe to and I believe wholly that attachment parenting is more than (and not necessarily equal to) staying at home full time. Unfortunately, host Megan aligned her herself fully with Chantal in a way that left little room for recognizing the fact that Chantal's opinions are just that, opinions, and could be quite unpopular with others who listen to the podcast and believe in the values of attachment parenting. If I could rate an individual episode, episode 7 would have been targeted as the worst of this podcast so far, but overall I have been impressed and encouraged by the other episodes and hope that, if I don’t go running because of episode 7, the quality of episodes will get back in line with those that preceded Chantal Quick. Two thumbs up for episodes one through six, two thumbs down for episode seven, hopeful about future episodes…

Amazing Parenting Resource

I am so happy to have found this podcast. It reaffirms all of my parenting practices that have just come naturally to me and now I understand more of why! The best experts and great conversations. Thank you for this Megan!

Well done!

You popped on purely by accident and I am thrilled! So inspiring to hear you and Jennifer Margulis talking about all topics close to my heart. I take it as a sign as I am in this very moment writing about experiences here in czechia hospitals, in middle Europe, and was wondering if it was a worthy topic with so many of you out there doing great things. Yet, I hear that all over the world we mothers are having mixed experiences. Your voice works well with your podcast and our ears ( sometimes great topics out there, but voices not!:). Appreciate your efforts, time, organization, choices of guest and topics and look forward to passing on your podcast to other moms close and our own podcast listeners. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to February.
