After surviving a dangerous encounter with a monster, Bee discovers she has the magical ability to control fire. Confused and with no heroic aspirations, she reaches out online to try and find others with impossible powers like hers - but finding them is only half the battle. Getting along and learning to protect everything important to them is another challenge altogether.

Grade A Season, grade C season finale

I really like this show. There was a logical progression to the way events unfolded that felt careful and considered and Bee is an endearing character. However, that’s thrown out the window in the last two episodes of the season. At a point where there is no imminent danger, Bee decides to instigate a potentially suicidal confrontation alone. Based on her explanations, the analogy would be that Bee, purposefully, and for no other reason than her self loathing, tried to drown herself, with the hopes that her friends would have to risk drowning themselves to save her and therefore, pass her friendship loyalty test.

It’s dangerous manipulative blackmail. Friends don’t coerce friends by holding their emotional and physical well-being hostage, and this show is generally better than that. May next season of the show be better.

Definitely worth the listen.

I love it
