the bike world seen from a cool perspective
jon's podcast is very cool. he interviews pretty diverse people in the bike scene in sf and abroad. most interviews are with knowledgable folks who are trying to make a difference. everything from 'complete street' planning to a messenger co-op in berkeley. some interviews are even done while he's riding! check it out.
Real cycling lifestyle content; much more than racing
Jon lives and dies by the bike. He continually produces interesting cycling lifestyle pieces that not only prove you can live car free (as he does) but does so in a manner that inspires others to follow in his "cycling" shoes. Don't expect a lot of cycle racing coverage here. Jon is about useful riding, soulful riding, sustainable riding and daring to dream about a better way to live. His podcast can be political and activistic (and full of obscure and insanely catchy bike themed music), but if you are likeminded, you might just hang on his every word. This is the only podcast I have been a longtime subscriber to. I make this promise to Jon..."As long as you are willing to talk bikes, I am willing to listen."
I just discovered this podcast this morning and listened to "The Battle Of San Francisco" at work. It was informative, interesting and made the time go by fast! I'm not your average cyclist, I wear normal clothes, ride a normal bike and go a normal pace and I feel that I finally found a podcast that is geared towards the everyday bicyclist. Those who want to hear about urban developement rather than the latest blood doping scandal. This is a wonderful podcast! <3
