No, really. A must-listen.

Ashley Milne-Tyte is one of the most intelligent, thoughtful voices in radio. It's astonishing, but she seems to be the only person in media talking about women in the workplace. And not in a "boo hoo" way but in a "this is the problem and here is what we can do about it" way. The repeated takeaway is that the workforce needs to capitalize on what women have to offer; in fact doing so may save our economy. My only complaints are that the podcast isn't longer; Ashley doesn't have a regular segment on a nationally broadcast show; and President Obama hasn't nominated her to head the department of labor.

Smart. Funny. True.

Each episode is smart and fresh and broad. Ashley puts her own mark on topics that are usually presented (if presented at all) in an annoying way. Instead of the usual whiny, or angry, or saccharine cheery approach, Ashley covers women and the workplace in an expansive and realistic way. And on top of all that, the production quality is terrific. She uses audio to tell a story. As a lifelong NPR-junkie, I want to hear more of this coverage.

Freakonomics meets Fresh Air

This podcast is a fresh take on women and the workplace. The guests and the host are smart and insightful. If you like TED talks, Marketplace, Fresh AIr, or Freakonomics, you need to give The Broad Experience a try. Not just for broads!
