Smart banter

These guys have an easy-going natural banter about movies, you can tell they love movies and they love talking about them even more. Even when they review movies I didn't really like, I find myself wanting to watch the film again after listening to them discuss it.

Biased but objective

That's my review on them (not theirs on movies). I know these guys personally and you should give this a thumbs up simply because these guys would be awesome company at a bar chatting about anything.

Great film review series

If you feel like you watch a lot of film but haven't taken a bunch of film school courses then this might be a good fit for your podcast rotation. Their film analysis is insightful and accessible without overly relying on film history/industry lingo. Matt and Mark have great chemistry and they're great at commenting from multiple viewpoints on the broader social themes and implications of films without getting preachy or overbearing. For two white guys from the northwest they are pretty relatable and their show intro, called Show News, is usually an entertaining personal story that brings a lot of character to the hosts. I always look forward to new episodes and if you listen to podcasts as part of your workday and unwind afterwards with films then I'd highly recommend this series.
