The real Detroit, no alterior motives needed
What I love about The Detroit Journal is it's dedication to telling STORIES about individuals. Their take is that a city is made of individuals and it cannot be characterized in a general way. This ideology is especially rlevant to Detroit, where the media tends to hyper generalize it's condition without looking past the iconography. The city is made up of individuals and TDJ tells their story in an objective narrative based way. On top of the fact that they find interesting people to share with the world, they also do it in an extremely high quality way. The videos are beyond good looking, especially for the internet. You can see the passion and talent that goes into every episode. Definitely check out The Detroit Journal. I only wish they released more videos than once a month!
