History can be hilarious and is ever-changing. There are new discoveries all the time that continuously give fresh and interesting commentary. Learning the personal and intimate details about historical figures gives a deeper understanding of the motivation behind their actions that helped shape society for generations, and gives humanity what can sometimes seem like unrelatable historic figures. It's also entertaining as hell to imagine people typically portrayed in a stately manner doing the equivalent of drunkenly calling out all their friends on twitter....I'm looking at you, John Wilmot. Learn how Warren G Harding nicknamed his g******s, or how Anthony Comstock had an enormous influence on the United States' puritanical views on sex! Each week, join Tawny Platis for her casual re-tellings of the sexy, scandalous, and salacious stories your history teacher likely left out while her husband, George, takes care of all the tech stuff and occasionally weighs in with the proper use of a naughty word.

The best part of history

If history class was this awesome everyone would love it! Dirty Bits goes into all the details and raunchy things the history books left out. The info is well thought out and organized to make this podcast flow beautifully. I can't wait to hear more.

History done better

I really enjoy listening to these renditions.
History classes are often so boring (as are some books and documentaries), but Tawny shares all the things that make people more memorable.
Well done Tawny and George!

These podcasts are a truly unique, fun, and interesting form of entertainment. Tawny and George making learning history fun--which isn't something that can really be said very often. Keep up the great work!
