A welcome entry into the fray!

Likable, funny hosts with good rapport and banter. A fresh perspective from outside the states. Paddy Considine interviewed on their 1st show?!?! This cast is going places, highly recommended!

Perfect for the movie fan...

I came across the Empire podcast and I simply love it. I'm a movie junkie and this perfectly satisfies my appetite for movie talk. Much better than most of the podcasts generated from here in America. I also appreciate that I don't have to hide it from my children due to a barrage of profanity. Just wonderful.

Occasionally good

When it comes to movie podcasts, you could do much worse. Good interviews and decent commentary abound; however, sometimes those pros are muddled by the con of a host who thinks he's much funnier than he actually is. If he'd stop trying so hard to turn everything into a joke, the show would be much better.

The biggest positive aspect of the show is lack of pretension, for the most part. They embrace popular film and won't make you feel lame for liking dumb action movies. That alone puts it above most movie podcasts.
