We look at the rise of the mujahideen in Afghanistan and their spread to different conflicts throughout the world. Then we turn to the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s and finally the cataclysmic US invasion of Iraq.

1979 – Six Years That Made the Middle East

In our next episode of the Six Years that Made the Middle East, we look at 1979. In the aftermath of the Six Days War, the 1970s saw the rise of a new element to the chaos we know today – extremist Islam. Far from common before 1979, most resistance and protest in the early decades of the modern Middle East  was performed through the framework of politics and political resistance. That changed in 1979.

Excellent podcast!

I love The End of History Podcast. It’s one of the best Apple holds in my opinion. The highest quality content. JB does an excellent job at looking at historic and contemporary events with an unbiased lens. Unclouded by any political agenda, his reflections are honest and objective. When he speaks on deeper things such as the Bible, Christianity, and having a value system, he backs it up with scripture. This podcast has helped develop my world view. It is the opposite of shallow or polarizing as many of the podcast of our time are.
If you like his podcast, you should try his books!

Unintelligent, evangelical, biased dribble

Cognitive dissonance has a poster boy. Someone tell this incel that Jesus isn’t coming back to rescue him from this mean old world, so he might as well start living in reality. The worst is hearing someone this delusional sound this pompous. It’s like listening to Elmer Fudd mansplain socioeconomic inequality as it pertains to Mordor.
