Not really a personal finance podcast
I really liked this podcast when I first started listening to it, but the more I listened to it the more I had an issue with it.
This podcast discusses a lot of social issues around women and money, however the actionable items to teach women strategies to overcome these issues are few and far between. It doesn’t teach women really anything about money, personal finance, or investing.
As “personal finance experts” one who is financially independent and the other who paid off a great deal of debt. Talk about investing and teach women to invest, talk about overcoming debt, talk about money. Talking about investing in self-care, and social issues isn’t teaching women to overcome them and isn’t making women wealthier.
The hosts have great personalities and the podcast is produced well.
The podcast I've been looking for!
This podcast is a welcome contribution to the conversation about women and money. I'm so tired of the same old money talk that's usually targeted to women (especially millennial women) which is way too often product marketing masquerading as financial advice. I'm excted to hear from these two experts about the systemic ways that women, people of color, young people, and other marginalized groups are kept out of conversations about wealth building and how to overcome (and dismantle) those systems! If you like Bad with Money with Gaby Dunn and HerMoney with Jean Chatzky, this podcast is right up your alley!
Love this podcast
The first 2 episodes are fabulous and I can’t wait to hear more. Finally! These are my people and they’re talking about what I want to hear about!
