Detachment that morphs into aloofness

This is a tough one to review — it’s certainly beneficial to listen to more detached pundits in these polarized times. However, they tend to fall back on — or perhaps exude is a better word — an aloof, ivory-tower vibe. Their lukewarm arrogance may seem independent & principled to some, but to me it comes off as moralistic posturing (“I’m too smart to get passionate about anything”). Perhaps their ennui is perfectly on-brand for this era; I find it cynical and depressing.

A fine show; excellent, in fact

And I’m not just saying that
