    Why Automation Ruins Everything

    Why Automation Ruins Everything

Read this if you think that automation will save your valuable time In this episode, Martin shares why using automation might be the biggest obstacle to business success.

The FindFocus Show – Pareto Summary

In 2009, two airplanes – an upstate New York Continental Connection flight and an Air France flight from Brazil to Paris – were the victims of the effects the autopilot.

Unexpected changes in the airplanes’ autopilot systems caused them to react in an extremely poor way, which turned out to be the cause of the accident in both cases.

That’s why on January 4th, 2013 the Federal Aviation Administration released a safety alert for operators saying that pilots’s ability to quickly recover the aircraft from an undesired state. Pilots should spend less time flying around and more time flying by hand.

Automating too soon is one of worst things you can do when starting an online business. One of the main problems Martin sees is neglecting crucial skills when building an online business.

When you are starting out you should trade time for money. This will help you to identify the skills that are valuable in the market place.

Martin currently builds the skill of podcasting and creating videos.

Scaling matters. A podcast or video is a great way to distribute your content and offer value.

You can provide most value in person.

You have to offer your services to the right person.

Hunter Otis build his 6-figure business by helping people to overcome porn addiction.

Always focus on building personal relationships.

You can only help people who want your help.

Don’t cast pearls before swines. Example: Martin’s content was well received in different Facebook groups but was criticised heavily on reddit.

Don’t try to convince people. You will fail.

Martin cannot even convince his wife about the value of FindFocus but the software changes some people life’s daily.

How to Measure Progress When You Fail

How to Measure Progress When You Fail

Listen to this episode if you feel you are not making progress when building new habits. In this episode, Martin shares why failure can be a sign of progress.

The FindFocus Show – Pareto Summary

Martin did not publish a new podcast yesterday, yet he did not like failing and called the day a success?

    Why?

There is always a range of behavior. Look at professional sports. Even the best players make a ton of mistakes.

When you try to learn new habits, compare when you are acting like your best self with your best self.

When you are failing, compare this with past failures.

The best way to improve is to get rid of your “C-Game.”

For example, when you tend to watch YouTube videos for entertainment slowly substitute for education-based videos. The next step might be only watching Youtube videos if you want to solve a specific problem. ...

Your best and your worst behavior is a moving target.

This Is More Important Than Being Effective

This Is More Important Than Being Effective

Read this if you want to not why it’s not important to be effective. In this episode, Martin shares the single thing that is more important than the best life hacks, habits, procedures, etc.

The FindFocus Show – Pareto Summary

In the past, Martin thought it’s important to reach his goals most effectively. He discovered that goals are important, but character goals are more important.

Doing things right does only matter if this is aligned with the type of person you want to become.

That means sometimes it’s important to do things just for the sake of doing them.

Example: Showing up for a workout if you are ill or tired.

An ineffective workout will not build muscle but willpower muscle.

This is much more important in the long run.

You are building the identity of a person that is fit and strong.

Martin started this process a few days ago and is already seeing progress in other areas of his life.

    Think about:

Where in your life do you need to show up more consistently to build the right character?

Why the Pareto "Tree" Principle is responsible for business success (or failure)

Why the Pareto "Tree" Principle is responsible for business success (or failure)

Listen to this if you want learn from a tree how to succeed in business and life. In this episode Martin shares how a neglected two sentence concept taken from James Clear’s Atomic habits is the root of success or failure in every part of your life.

Watch the Youtube video here to get a better understanding, who the tree looks:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qoKH0Wlk9M&t=1s

The FindFocus Show – Pareto Summary

There is nothing more important that understanding how the Pareto Tree Principle works.

    It applies to everything

    Your business

    Your Health

    Your Relationships

    Everything

If you start in the wrong place, you’ll never move into the top 50%. It’s impossible.

If you add up a few good choices it’s almost impossible to fail.

    Gary Halbert example:

What does it take to have a successful food stand?

Most people think: It’s things like better tasting food, cheaper prices, friendly personal, etc.

    They are all wrong.

The only thing you need is: A hungry crowd!

If you get the fundamentals wrong you set yourself up for failure.

Get the fundamentals and it’s almost impossible to fail.

If you are in the wrong place. Move you are NOT a tree.

    How To Stay Consistent

    How To Stay Consistent

Listen to this episode if you want to succeed in business and life. Martin shares why consistency is the key to succeed in the long term and why he struggled with this in this episode.

The FindFocus Show – Pareto Summary

    · Showing up is more important than doing everything perfect.

    · Showing up build and being consistent builds your character. The effort you put into staying consistent will compound over time.

    · You destroy that by switching too often.

    · If you are pressed for time do a reduced version of the habit you want to build. This is key!

    · Everything leads back to being aware of the present moment.

    · The “laziest monk” in the world calls it a success if he just meditates 2 seconds per day.

    · Take a deep breath now.

Congratulations! You have a successful day!
