Encyclopediac knowledge and enthusiasm!
Neil and Mike clearly have vast knowledge of this genre and books, movies and music to which the movie refers. Both the first two podcasts definitely make me want to watch the seminal movie, The Wicker Man, which in retrospect, I should have watched beforehand and I recommend to others to do so. I was not familiar with the genre, only the title of the movie. They discussed SO many topics that I am very interested in and they really delved into many details of themes such as religion, sociology and the study of other human and animalistic behaviors, symbolism, allegory, imagery, ritualistic/ceremonial behaviors and rites and too many others to name. Their enthusiasm is infectious, demonstrating their deep love and respect for this genre. I will definitely watch the movie and listen the two podcasts again so that I know what they are talking about and will continue to listen to the podcast. I highly recommend this podcast!!
