Contruction to Comedy
I just wandered into and thoroughly enjoyed this episode with Adam Carolla talking about working as a cleaner on construction sites before hitting it big in comedy.
The interview made me feel all–the gravity, the significance, the exhausting sense of carpe diem that hounds every moment of taking those first steps of leaving a safe but grungy day job to go out into the world seeking the crazy and erratic life of a comedian.
Armed with a sense of humor, an intense desire to succeed in the unpredictable comedy world and a happenstance meeting with Jay Leno at a construction site, Adam chronicles his life as he stumbles through the landmines to build his career and define his barometer of success.
Having enjoyed Forbes magazine and financial news for many years, I especially like this unique twist to podcasting of reading and hearing a story by linking the magazine cover to the podcast. Looking forward to more.
Life long carolla disciple. Starting with the Podfather is always the right move
