REAL support and stories about loving someone who's wired a bit differently. Hosted by Heather & Jon, a married couple who are awesome therapists by day, and parenting 3 fringy kids by night. Kids on the fringes include kids who are gifted, have autism, SPD, or other developmental neuro-diversities.

Customer Reviews

Heather and Jon have a unique insider view of kids “who are wired just a bit differently “ as both parents and professionals. Their podcast is encouraging, empowering, and emboldening. Thank you, Jon and Heather for opening up your personal lives and being real about the struggles and the triumphs you experience to help so many of us, and for creating a community of parents who can do the same.

Real life “in the trenches” help delivered with humor

I listen to several podcasts related to gifted/2E issues as well as homeschooling. The Fringy Bit makes me laugh and also makes me feel not so alone. I like that Jon and Heather balance each other out. They offer support and suggestions but are not trying to find ways to “fix” my child, which I appreciate. If two counselors still struggle, then I am doing ok!! Keep it up!

Supportive & Encouraging

Hearing John's and Heather's personal stories, and getting little snippets of how other parents are raising a twice exceptional child is incredibly encouraging. Knowing that other parents are facing similar challenges to what we face (and getting through it!) makes life seem more manageable. Having a child on the fringes can feel isolating, but having this support is incredible!
