Guilty As Charged

Yes, I admit that I bought into the belief that an hour at the gym was all I needed in order to be “healthy.” In this podcast, Jen explains just how wrong that mindset can be. By using stories and easy to understand examples, I’m learning how to take better care of my body through out the day.

Crave the movement!

I have been following Jen for a number of years on her journey towards creating a healthy movement revolution and I couldn’t be more excited about this podcast! As a former dance and martial arts enthusiast, my current job as a full-time desk jockey has taken its toll on my body and mind. Like most people, I thought that sitting all day in front of a computer was a low impact job… that is until I started following Jen and I realized, that by abandoning proper physical alignment and continuous movement, I had forsaken my ability to be happy and healthy. On The Healthy Moving Podcast, Jen does a fantastic job of reminding us of the importance of proper alignment and movement in our daily life. I am no longer in a place where i have to “force” myself to go to the gym. Rather, I crave the movement. I even find myself doing more laundry so that I can take more trips up and down the stairs throughout the day! (I’ll note that Jen’s programs on Stay-at-Home Yoga offer additional great tips that complement the podcast.)

Jen is on to something here with the healthy movement revolution. As someone with a history of poor body image, I find Jen’s approach to be an effective, healthy and holistic way to start showing your human body some appreciation and admiration. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who has ever felt the urge to just get up and move!

Jen Hoffman lays out a map to experience health and wellness in a new way - giving your body "movement nutrition" throughout the day to be truly healthy. This is my New Year inspiration!
