The Quintessential Twin Peaks podcast

The Lodgers is the preeminent accompaniment to Twin Peaks. The hosts are brilliant, insightful, and very well spoken. Already in the first installment it becomes apparent that exhaustive research has been done on the subject. All the background information and context provided helps the listener achieve a deeper understanding of this influential series. The content is interesting and balanced, mixing equal parts academic analyses and pop culture trivia. But most importantly The Lodgers is fun to listen to! So grab a cup of coffee (black like midnight on a moonless night) and a slice of pie (cherry), kick back and enjoy!

Perky & Percolating, Scholarly & Hilarious!

Definitely one of the best Twin Peaks recap 'casts out there.

In the first episode there is a really breathtakingly incisive delve into the show's use of music, sound and what we can only call "The Lynchian." A very wonderful analysis of Grace Zabriskie's performance as Sarah Palmer, and her ability to perfectly integrate the two tragicomic parts (both turned up to Eleven) of her character. They wrap the first ep with a dive into the Lynchian world that started with Twin Peaks and continued through Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire. That's far from all, and that's just the first Episode.

Both Kate Rennebohm and Simon Howell really know their stuff, really love Twin Peaks and are very good at communicating their thoughts, reactions and criticism in a relatively short time. That is a tough, tough job. Trust me, I know, because I'm not just a Twin Peaks Podcast consumer, I'm also a producer! (Vintage Commercial Joke) ...and man, can we ramble! Their guests, however, do _not_ ramble. On the contrary, they have been very well chosen, as smart and challenging as Kate and Simon but with some interesting and original backgrounds and points of view.

I could listen to these fine folks for hours, but at 30 minutes per Twin Peaks episode, you just _have_ to give this one a listen!

"What do you know, these things snap right off..."

These people understand the television industry

This is a great one. People who understand the television industry break down what makes Twin Peaks tick, and put what it did for TV into broader context. They look at the show from the business side and the story crafting side and they do great work.
I plan on listening all the way through the new episodes.
