Thank you

This podcast is exactly what I need. First time mom in my 13th month of this journey. I have cried, learned, and felt not-so-alone. It has sparked deep conversations/feelings/good cries with my husband about our daughters birth. Currently binging from the beginning and loving it.

Miss the old content and the former host

I was raised under the principle of ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’ As a result, for some time I’ve thought about writing this review - but until now have always hesitated. I’m doing so now because I believe and hope you want to hear listeners’ voices. I used to consider this podcast akin to Must See TV. I referred so many friends and family to it over the years. In the last 18ish months the content has steadily gone downhill (with the exception of the It’s A Real Mother series, which was great). The new host is not well suited to the content at all. The early content was so earnest, raw, real, valuable, and necessary. For the sake of so many parents embarking upon or living in the midst of the longest shortest time of their lives, as well as those reflecting back upon such a time or hoping against hope to enter it, I hope this podcast can be restored to its original glory.

Used to be good

I used to love the show but it’s been going downhill. For a show about parenting, it’s a little odd that the host and producer do not have children. The worst is that it’s gotten so cheesy and has no substance. Parenting in the Animal Kingdom was the last straw for me. There’s just too many other podcasts to listen to. And it’s too bad because I used to love this podcast when the content was enlightened parenting topics.
