So-so

I really dislike leaving negative reviews. I feel like the topics this has had to offer - at least in the episodes I've listened to - are really good. However, both of the hosts, and especially Melissa, have the habit of using "like" as a filler word, and they are using it CONSTANTLY. I understand not being able to express what you're wanting to and looking for words, but there are literally three or four "likes" per sentence on average. It's like, annoying, and I like, really find it hard to, like, listen to, because like, it's driving me crazy. I really wish I was exaggerating but some sentences are that bad. Please, ladies - practice speaking slower. It'll give you time to think about where you want to go with your sentence and you won't sound stupid. I would love to check back in a few months and find this is just great information!

If I have a “guilty pleasure” podcast this would be the one—and I mean that in the most positive way possible. While I enjoy Jess and Melissa’s thoughts on minimalism, I enjoy even more their random thoughts and side-tangents that occur in the process of it all. It’s like listening in on the candid conversation of two friends as if nobody is listening. I also especially enjoy their honesty and willingness to even change their minds/stances on certain things as the conversation progresses, they grow personally and are exposed to new information. I honestly never really know what they are going to say and that’s half the fun of it. Full disclosure Melissa was a guest on episode 10 of my podcast Intentional Wandering, however that doesn’t change anything that I have said above. I encourage you to listen to that episode if you like this podcast to hear more from Melissa on minimalism and life in general—she has a lot of great insight to share in my opinion.

Well-curated show!

Fun show by Melissa & Jessica on minimalism & intentional living. I love how you just never know where the show’s gonna go and also to hear them discuss the cultural cross-pond differences.
