Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus discuss living a meaningful life with less.

Customer Reviews

Their spaces may be empty, but their egos are full.

I cannot believe I even listened to this pod cast. All they do is talk about the books they sell, share how amazing they (think) they are, or belittle anything that doesn't align with their book, blog, website or social media outlets...which all focus on selling their books. I would rather listen to a 15 second commercial and then hear about real strategies for de-cluttering and living a minimalist lifestyle than listen to these guys drone on about everything but a minimalist lifestyle.

I am very interested in the idea of minimalism and some of the ideas in this podcast are great. I just can't stomach their arrogance and ridiculous essay readings. Get over yourselves, guys.

I just can't take their attitudes anymore so I've unsubscribed. I've been living in and off again with minimalism for 15+ years so I was hoping for something with oomph. I had high expectations but this is just a 60 minute ad for their books, blogs, coffee shop, tours, writing workshops, website, their upcoming film, their social media and their weirdly uncomfortable TedX talk (seriously, what's that awkward part with the ringer about?). It's even more annoying when they go out of their way to exclaim that "advertisements s*ck" at the top of the show, then proceed to launch 60 minutes of content marketing at us. In the end: The hosts come off as arrogant know-it-all's and lack the humility needed for successful podcasts IMO. There is value in the show but the hosts need to grow up a little.

To people looking for more about this stuff with less arrogance and more heart: learn Feng Shui for organizing your material items. Read Bea Johnson to learn about reducing waste and consuming less. Check out "the life changing magic of tidying up" by Marie Condo. Listen to Sharon Salzberg for lessons on mindfulness. Watch videos on tiny homes for extreme minimalism and understand that your life should be your own balance of material and spiritual.

Best of luck
