Today's Guest: Kelly Koepp (AKA My Mother)
Kelly Koepp is a Self-Contained Room Special Needs Teacher at Bowie Middle School in Odessa, Texas. She has been in education for 28 years in some form or fashion and has a true passion for helping students overcome obstacles to reach success.
She has been a certified teacher for the past five years in Ector County. She also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Vocational Rehabilitation and has worked with individuals with disabilities her entire career.  She chose to move into education after five years working as a third party vendor with the surrounding high schools as the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services Transition Counselor.
This position showed her the intricacies of working with many different types of schools, teachers, students, and school policies regarding how students with disabilities are guided into their future away from the public school system. She has also been successful with Education Grants as well as community grant writing. Finally, She has experience working at the college level as an advisor and testing coordinator as well as the elementary level as the Chief Professional Officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Odessa.   
She have  a wonderful husband of 31 years, two grown, successful children and a fabulous daughter in law. 
She is my mother, and it is a pleasure to have her on the show! Enjoy!
