Thumbs up from California!

Hey guys, I love your podcast! I paint minis for a living, so I'm always looking for interesting things to be in the background while I'm working. Your 'cast fits the bill perfectly. I primarily like that you guys are laid back, social gamers like myself. I've never understood all the trash-talking, angry, vehement rants that so often pass for hobby talk - I play games to have fun, not add to my problems! You guys really seem to get the calm, balanced look at the game that I try for myself, while still managing to have a lot of fun.

I also like the clean rating of your podcast. Listening to a group of guys curse like sailors about nothing more than their toy soldiers is really lame, and it sets my teeth on edge. I don't have to worry about giving your stuff to the kids I mentor, or my gaming friends from church, and I appreciate that you guys are willing to kind of stand alone in this regard.

I gave you guys 4 stars, and it would have been 5 but for the sound. The 'casts seem to be getting better every episode, so I can see that this is a learning curve for you, but it would be nice to have a consistent volume. It's particularly important when I'm listening in a car, as the sudden and extreme increase in volume can not only damage the speakers, but the surprise can cause me to get more distracted on the road. I'm looking forward to your improvements.

If you're looking at ideas for future episodes, I really enjoyed your earlier discussion of using existing rules to cover different armies. I'm looking at using the Wargames Factory Greatcoat Soldiers as a Dark Mechanicus force, and I wouldn't mind hearing you guys go into greater depth with ideas of how to accomplish this with specific armies from time to time.
