Playwright - Freedom Farlow Cooke
I have written several plays (a number of which have been produced) that relate to social issues within the African American community. I have also received a grant for my short film entitled “AMELIKA.”
I write because it allows me to tell stories that are not only relatable, but encourage others to explore their own perspectives of thought.
Playwriting is a gift that allows the audience to view stories through the lens and imagination of others, a wonderful journey into unique life experiences told through beautiful and compelling stories. While some stories have been told, many have yet to be explored - so anytime I can be a conduit to bridge the gap, I am willing to write!

More Conversation, Please, and Less Presentation
Ken knows his craft for sure, and has great energy, perhaps, at times, even a tad too much. I would enjoy it more if the approach was less presentational and more calmly conversational. The information is excellent. I just would rather not feel like I'm being yelled at. Or maybe I'm too sensitive. In any case, thanks for the podcast and for your work at Manhattan Rep..
Well educated
When listening to this podcast i would rate the episode a 5 stars out of 5 stars. I personally feel as someone who wants to playwright in the future. this episode can truly help to spread positivity and help you make that possible. Listening to podcasts that interest you makes them less boring. the podcasts also provide really good advice for future careers if that is what you are searching for.
