The Podcast @ DC puts cutting-edge research in conversation with the bureaucratic realities of government. We get in the weeds on how to put science into action. Topics are as diverse as the challenges our city government tackles. The show is hosted by David Yokum, Director of The Lab @ DC in the Office of the City Administrator for the District of Columbia.

Making a Clean City
What a great podcast. I loved loved loved the episode about trash. DC is doing such innovative and necessary work keeping the city clean -- especially the long-neglected Anacostia River watershed. I grew up on the watershed in Montgomery County, Maryland -- our backyard bordered a stream that led to the Anacostia. Had I known then what I know now, I would have started a neighborhood campaign to keep it clean. Too late for that, but glad to see DC tackling the problem head-on today.
