As they explore the work of J. R. R. Tolkien, hosts Alan Sisto and Shawn E. Marchese welcome readers of The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and the other works in the Middle-earth legendarium to tune in as they discuss favorite passages from the books and films that started the worldwide fantasy phenomenon. Alan and Shawn engage in plenty of in-depth study of Tolkien's books, but with a healthy dose of self-effacing humor, pop-culture references, and bad puns. These are the two guys you'd want to hang out with at a pub and talk Tolkien with.

A remarkable new podcast!

I love Tolkien and I love podcasts. So, needless to say, when I heard about this podcast on a Facebook group, I was so hyped. And let me tell you, this show is amazing. I love Shawn and Alan's passion for these books, and their insight really makes me appreciate them even more.

I look forward to more episodes. And if you're a Tolkien fan to any extent, please, do yourself a favor and listen to this show. You won't regret it. I promise.

A great podcast for all Tolkien fans

Shawn and Alan offer knowledgeable discussion on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. They keep it at a level where people who have only read the core works such as the The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings can understand and learn more.

More seasoned readers of Tolkien's works will enjoy their insight and appreciation for the Professor while still adding to their understanding or refreshing their memories on details that they have perhaps overlooked or forgotten over the years. Take a listen and feel the Tolkien love!

A Highlight of My Work Week

I really love listening to Shawn and Alan on my way to work. They are interesting and bring a fresh perspective on Tolkien's works. I am reading the Simarilion along with them and getting more out of it. Thanks to the Real Lord of the Mark and the Man of the West.
