Description

Writer/producers Jim Cantiello and Annie Barrett used to stay up all night in NYC recapping American reality TV, for money. Now they sit around in L.A. talking about the British kind, for free! Welcome to THE PROVING DRAWER, the definitive “let’s do this now before the show drastically changes” podcast for #GBBO fans one and all. Are you as obsessed with Mary Berry’s jacket collection as we are? Dying to befriend Mel and Sue? Have recurring nightmares of Paul Hollywood boiling down your life’s worth in a few devastating seconds? Perfect. Scrumptious, really. Clearly you belong here. Whether you’re a newcomer tuning into “The Great British Baking Show” on PBS, a longtime Netflix binge-watcher, a smartypants who figured out ALL THE EPISODES OF ALL SEVEN SEASONS ARE ON YOUTUBE, or just coming in blind... welcome. Have a listen. Take a bite.

Very Funny, A Great Companion to The Show

So glad Jim and Annie are doing this, very light-hearted and fun. Annie's Paul Hollywood impression is the best!

No soggy bottoms here!

Have you ever been watching 'The Great British Bake Off' (er, Baking SHOW 🙄) and thought to yourself, "I wish my friends were watching with me, so we could discuss Selasi's smoldering gaze or Candice's Lipstick of the Week!"? This podcast is just like that, except Jim and Annie are (probably) funnier than your friends.
Even if you have already burned through S7/S4 of GBBO (GBBS, sigh) like I have, it's fun to revisit this past season on PBS and fun to (finally!) have a podcast to listen to afterward.
(I may be biased, because Jim and Annie were my favorite 'American Idol' critics too, but whatever.) 🙃

Hysterical!

Love the “hidden gems” Annie and Jim discuss about the show and contestants. A highly entertaining way to recap each episode. I’m excited to hear they are planning to go back and discuss earlier seasons.
