Penance RPG is a Homebrew fantasy style RPG podcast that follows the misadventures of a group of adventurers. They travel through the tainted land with free reign to make their own decisions on who they help and how, as long as they understand that consequences will always happen as a result... Described as Crazy, unpredictable and unapologetically blunt by fans, We attempt to bring something different to the normal dungeon crawl podcast. Today's number is 956877

Fun Story and Setting in Cannon

I really enjoy Penance RPG, particularly in that the GM and players are not afraid of being goofy in cannon (SPOILERS: for example, some oddly named temples, and a player convincing the DM that there are non-flame resistant drapes in the fire temple). The chemistry between the cast is great and despite the goofs, this is a very fast moving cast. The rapid-fire stye sets the pacing ahead of slower APs - there are few moments where nobody is talking or nothing is going on. The background music helps to smoothen the somewhat sporadic play style. Sometimes you can hear some background noise, specifically from Teamspeak or players rustling, but generally the audio is coherent and up to actual play standards! I highly reccomend you give Penance a listen!

Good stuff.

The cast is great and their voices are really soothing (I just need them to know this). I loved their interactions and had several sensible chuckles. Check them out!

Interesting Characters!

The character interactions are good and they all feel unique. It feels like decisions have impact on the story. While the audio quality/volumes could be better, the roleplay and characters themselves make it worth a listen.
