Favporite new podcast in years

This podcast is huge fun to listen. Jeff and Jobe have fascinating perspectives on music and they've introduced me to a lot of great stuff that I had never heard of. As someone who loses track of the music industry and ends up listening to the same things for years, this is exactly what I need. The guys are a lot of fun to listen to and have great chemistry. The production is super solid right from the beginning. Great sound quality and editing from ep 1, which is rare in the independent podcasting game. Awesome podcast!

It’s Rex Manning Day!

If you are old enough to remember the fear of walking into a music store back in the 90’s, then this is the podcast for you. You open the door then immediately feel the glaring , cold stare of the employee perched up above you by the registers welcoming you to his domain. He watches you, mumbling to himself as you browse the aisles in search of the music you thought you enjoyed. Ever passing judgment against you, the employee finds a way to bring out insecurities you didn’t even know you had, as you step out of your comfort zone and thumb through the Electronica and Hardcore Industrial sections. As you corner the aisle you come across an end cap section of “recommended” music from the employees. If you dared to stop, you could almost feel the pretentious cloud of judgement which had been hovering over you lift. A glimmer of hope. Guide me on my musical journey and help me be a better person through music. This is a great podcast with both Jobe and Jeff offering opposing insight into many genres of music. If you are late to the show, start with the “Chefs Choice” episode as it is both humbling and inspirational. Great job guys...

Down the rabbit hole...

If you’re a music nerd you will probably love this podcast. They are all over the auditory sea, like captains, captains of a precarious ship that seeks to find dry land with the urgency of a fast approaching release date. You might not come here for the hip-hop reviews but when you get to the Polka segment, dios mio man, you will at least respect the plight of these self described “old men” as they bring you music that I guarantee you have not heard.
