Description
Here in Seattle, we take great pride in our various neighborhoods that we live in and all the things that make this area of the country so great… and the local businesses are a large part of what shape the flavor and character of these great neighborhoods that we love. I created this podcast to help tell the stories of other Seattle based businesses, entrepreneurs and others involved in the community. I want to highlight these people and what they are doing in serving others and their community here in Seattle. I mean really... Who doesn't want to know more about our local businesses and the brave souls who started them? Who wouldn't want to support them and see them and our neighborhoods thrive?! Do you know someone with an important message or story to tell? Please let me know, I would love to have them on this podcast. Customer Reviews
Reviewing my own Podcast...
I guess I’ll be the first to rate and review my podcast. I’m obviously a little biased but I think it’s pretty good and will only get better. I’m committed to improving it each week and continuing to make it more interesting as I get better at interviewing my guests and perfecting my recording techniques.
Enjoy and please rate my podcast and leave a review as well, thanks!
It opens my heart to a grander civic vision.
I've lived my whole life in the Seattle area, and I always say that I love it. But what I mean by that is that I love the proximity to the sea, the trees, the hills, the mountains to the east and west, and the mild weather. The culture and the people haven't played into my affection at all. Listening to the Sea-Town Podcast has drawn my attention to the residents who make Seattle function - not just hipsters and brogrammers but the workers and small business owners who contribute to the kind of community that I want to be a part of. These non-famous individuals and non-clichéd types - not the remnants of the city from before the fire - are the true "underground Seattle," and this podcast introduces me to them.
Great focus on local businesses
It's really interesting to hear from different business leaders on each week's episode... their start-up stories, challenges, and successes. This podcast gives me usable advice for my own business, as well as a stronger connection to my city.
