An treasure trove of information

This podcast is incredible.
From the insights and perspective of the amazing guests, to the depth of knowledge John has on the songwriting craft, to the evident love he has for the new songwriter, each word inspires, educated and entertains. A must-listen!!

A Pot of Gold.

Someone just recommended this podcast to me and I feel like I found the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold at the end. It's informative, funny, inspiring and extremely helpful. I'm a year late, but loving every single episode!! Thanks NCS!

Not for trained or practicing songwriters.

This is an abysmal podcast. I understand they appeal to a certain demographic, they spill the rudiments on how to write music appealing to a religious audience (fortunately they reveal these things in their early podcasts and I gave a star as I've been able to exploit these idiosyncrasies and have sold a few jesus songs to a local performer. $800 dollars for 4 hours work not bad.) but if you're looking for a podcast that covers theory, musicianship and the industry. You won't find it hear. If you're interested in paying them to critique the adult Christian contemporary song you have written to earn some cash... I'm just kidding if you have a rudimentary grasp on style you can churn out a dozen of these simple empty tunes in a few days, don't waste money on a critique. Any sale is proof you have this ridiculously easy formula down.
