The Sounds in My Head is a biweekly music show featuring songs and bands you might have missed. Hosted by Daniel since 2004. Musically The Sounds in My Head attempts to be fairly eclectic, but probably tends to lean towards "indie pop" music. Also, I try to squeeze in as much left-wing propaganda as possible between tracks.

Customer Reviews

The Sounds In My Head is a super-fine, twenty minute bi-weekly music podcast out of NYC featuring some of the best indie pop from around the world -- but mostly from the US. And the Netherlands. Sometimes Japan. My favorite. Really.

highly recommended

The Sounds in my Head is among the most well-produced music podcasts out there. It consists of well-curated indie-rock/-pop stuff, studded with entertaining commentary and occasionally left-leaning political clips. The website neatly catalogs all past episodes — so its a really great resource for finding out about new bands.

Best new music podcast!

This podcast has been around for a long time and I'm glad its finally in the iTunes store. Definitely the best quality podcast I've ever found - and the only non news/This American Life podcast I listen to on a regular basis.
