I've abandoned others

I've given up on others podcasts but love the Spaghetti's. Real conversations by a real couple. Feels like home. Keep it up.

Oh No!

Well it was bound to happen I guess.
Z-Corn, I am so bummed you aren't into it that podcast! But you are right, our dynamic isn't for everyone. I do rant, this is true- getting to use my voice for whatever I want is empowering but by no means do I feel I am berating my husband. To say I criticize him angrily is just missing the mark.
I see what you are saying though, I do think that men are more and more portrayed as being idiotic in the household on TV shows, etc but when I listen back to our podcasts, I just hear how much we make each other laugh. I am guessing the dumbed down man is so popular now because women were portrayed as second class citizens for oh, I don't know, forever! We tend to think it's okay to laugh a little at the mans expense. I know I do.
I hope you give the podcast another shot but if you don't, I will go on record and say that I will actually take this into consideration, the whole lesser man thing and I thank you for your review. It was well thought out and I appreciate that. I believe this would make a fabulous podcast and I think Eddie would agree, right after he brings me my coffee.

Too mean spirited...

I understand that JD and Eddie have their own interpersonal dynamics but to me, as an outsider, it really is hard to listen to JD rant about everything Eddie does wrong. It's hard to hear her call him "stupid" because it took too long for him to get coffee. This is just the latest example, it seems as if every podcast starts with Eddie being berated and having to apologize.

This seems to be a common thread in American sitcoms and television commercials where the Father or Husband is always the idiot in the family and the Wife and Children are allowed to express this viewpoint freely to the world. It's disrespectful and uncomfortable to listen to. I expected more than this from these two as they are both interesting and intelligent people with a great story to tell.

I really enjoyed the episodes where the two of them read and answered listener submissions. Those were informative and interesting episodes. I hope the podcast continues more in this direction...
