The Test is a podcast from Brian Sztabnik of Talks with Teachers. It creates a conversation about one test, the AP Literature exam. But in doing so, it also examines how students succeed on the exam, the role of testing in America, as well as how teachers can find the balance between teaching and testing.
||Episode 1 of The Test||Could they read and could they write? That’s what they wanted to know. Of course they could do it, but how well could they do it? So they worked in silence for three hours, reading and writing. That’s all it took — three hours.||1/4/2015||Free||View in iTunes|
Irteresting insight into testing
I liked the feedback I am listening to from students
And breaking down the insights of one test
How did the people who did well get the results
And question how testing works in america
This is the kind of show (and conversation) that needs to be happening around the country. There are so many issues with standardized testing, how it impacts schools, and how it forces teachers to do their jobs that this subject needs to be addressed. Thanks for bringing it to the forefront Brian!
Can't wait to hear more!
I love this concept for a podcast! I like the fact that students were interviewed. The host asks the questions that all teachers are wondering. Thank you for doing this!
