I love hearing about the games I grew up playing!

Joe has tapped into some of my childhood memories by talking about the games I loved as a kid. I grew up playing the Space Quest series, Descent, SimCity, Command & Conquer: Red Alert, and more.

But it's awesome that Joe doesn't _just_ talk about these games, but he educates us on the things we were too young to care about back then, but information that is now fascinating!

Listening to The Upper Memory Block inspired me to dig out my copy of Space Quest 6 and finally finish it.

Boot this up!

What a great podcast for those of us that got to see the progression of gaming over the years. Joe, the host, covers all sorts of fun subjects from the hardware needed, the plot of the game, the developers and the whole concept behind each game. It's really fascinating. I learn something every time I listen. I wish he put it out every week because it's so well done. Way to go Joe! Looking forward to more of your shows.

Every Episode is timeless!

Your podcast is making me lazy! I used to do my own research about old games I'd find myself reminiscing about. Now I just think "Joe will do a show on it". Your podcast is one of the best out there. A lot of people have criticized other great single host retro podcasts like Retrocity and The Retroist for sounding to much like NPR, but they're very focused without the pointless rambling between all the hosts. Your focus keeps my attention ever when covering genres I have no interest in. I have gone back and re-listened to all your old episodes, and they are just as great now as they were when they first when up, since the topics were already about old games! I love it! Thanks for all your work!
