Great travel info I can actually use!
Very informative with interesting guest speakers! Hosted by the editor in chief of The Voyage Report website, this podcast gives unique views on travel and even inspires me to do things I would never have thought of, like travel to see a total eclipse! I don't feel like I'm listening to a bunch of advertisements like some other podcasts, I really feel that this podcast is rich with information that I can really use. I look forward to this every week!
This podcast and the Voyage Report website have changed the way I travel. It's so easy to waste money when you're traveling. Using these tips and tricks, I'm saving insane amounts of money which means I can travel more often. A great, useful listen.
Real people's experiences guided by the dulcet tones of Mark
This is a great podcast. These are real people talking about their real experiences and giving real tips. I want this kind of specificity from a travel podcast/website. It is a wholistic approach too. In one episode I got a very detailed account of the horror show of waiting in line for the Sistine Chapel, as well as what sounds like the most amazing Tuscan accommodations -- and that was just the intro. Who knew the bedsheets in a Costa Rican treehouse would be damp all the time? I do now. On the other hand, I wouldn't have thought about getting a rental house in St Thomas, but now I feel like that is the only way to stay there. Again, these are all detailed in ONE episode.
Plus the host Mark can guide things in the right way to be super helpful for any kind of listener. He also sounds like he's been doing radio forever.
The episodes are relatively brief so it's not like you are wasting time. But if you are really in a crunch or have a hard time paying attention, check out the 2 minute videos on their website.
