Shawn is my kind of creative

Shawn’s is a good show. He thought process is much like mine, but he’s interested in different stuff. He stretches my way of thinking yet turns it to focus on the essentials every step of the way. I like the way Shawn analyzes products, then how he implements them to their fullest. He studies his gadgets, then shares what he makes of them with the world to the best of his ability without pretenses. He’s a regular guy with an extraordinary level of concentration.

‘The Weekly Briefly’ is just one of the episodes each week Shawn’s records for his other membership-exclusive podcast. I’ve not listened to membership one before, but I enjoyed Shawn on the ‘B&B’ podcast back in the day, so I have been giving ‘The Weekly Briefly’ a try.

The "professional grade iOS" chat was interesting, but I don't think the 21 minutes it took to listen to Shawn talking was worth it. Had this been text, it could have been skimmed through in only a few minutes. Perhaps this is just a problem with Podcasts in general. Also, only having one person on the episode seems a bit odd. But would yet another conversation between various Mac experts be better? At this point, it'll take an incredibly interesting topic to get me to listen to an entire episode.

(Edit: I just listened to the Indie episode, and again it was very interesting (and certainly relevant for me). It did take about nine minutes to get to the meat of the conversation. If you've got the time to listen to Shawn regularly (e.g. a commute) then you'll probably enjoy the podcast.
