Hey gang, what’s new! A lot has been going on in our lives personally, and honestly that’s now excuse for not posting more frequently, but we just want to acknowledge our huge absence. Covid life definitely has distracted us in various ways, as we’re sure it has some of you, so thank you guys for staying around nonetheless. We hope that you and your loved ones are staying encouraged during these times.
For today’s episode, we wanted to face a difficult question regarding race and the Bible. Primarily, what it has to say about Black people as it regards being chosen by God as a particular race different from others. For today, we wanted to focus in on the often used phrase “die to self.” If you’ve ever heard it before, it can be jarring because it’s presented as something that we Christians should actively be doing. “Death” in any context is ominous, so what exactly does it mean? So much insight, I feel like I’m in the conversation with them. Only gives out the honest truth. As a young Christian this podcast is truly a blessing. God bless you guys.
Who are God’s elect??
Hmmm, I listened to this podcast and I must say I absolutely disagree with most of what was said
So from my understanding. Some of us are preordained to be save while others are not. If that’s the case, why did God send his only son to die for our sins? When Jesus died, he left the Holy Spirit with us to guide and protect us. So does that mean that those who are NOT preordained do not have the Holy Spirit? God send his son to die for our sins and not some sins...
I think someone who is struggling to give their life to Christ shouldn’t listen to this message because this may discourage them in believing that they are not one of the chosen ones or elect.
So that means, God created some good and bad apples and he’s using the bad apple to do things that are not of him while he saves the good ones?
Why are there churches? Where is God using his words and other people testimonies to bring us closer to him?
The Bible said we are all his children. He loves us equally. One thing I pray for is that I should read the Bible and really understand it.
We may all read the same thing, but have different interpretations and perspectives.
Good soul food.
So much wisdom and real talk here. No religious pretense, just honest folks wrestling with the Word.
